Durability testing involves a group of testing to assess resistance of materials and components to environmental forces with or without mechanical forces. Thus, for example structures like wind turbines, buildings, etc., standing along coast lines will be subjected to salt sprays from ocean waves subjecting the materials and components to chemical attack. Equally when wind turbines are standing in desert environments, windblown sand particles can erode the surfaces of the materials and components. Thus, it is important to know the impact of these environmental forces.
Following capabilities exist at Touchstone Testing Labs for assessing durability of materials and components:
Touchstone is committed to providing its customers with quality, reliable test results. That is why we have undertaken the rigorous steps needed to meet and secure the most stringent of test lab accreditations including ISO/IEC 17025, NADCAP 7101 (Materials Test Lab) and NADCAP 7122-I (Non-Metallics Materials Testing).
